An architectural pattern is a widely used high-level design for business or technology structures. They are used to avoid inventing architectures when a reasonably optimal solution to a particular problem space is already widely known. Where a novel architecture is proposed, patterns can be used as benchmarks to show the value of the new approach. The following are examples of architectural patterns.
