Hues are colors that correspond to a single wavelength of light in the visible spectrum. These are the pure colors that can be combined to create all other colors. Hues roughly correspond to the colors of the rainbow. The following are named colors that are all true hues that can be mapped to a wavelength of light here.

Notes

The hues above span the entire visible spectrum.
The term hue is also commonly used to describe any colorful color that hasn't been heavily tinted with white or shaded with black. This would also exclude browns and greys that result from mixes of complementary colors.
It is a common myth that all colors can be constructed with three primary colors. Primary colors can only be used to simulate all colors. The full visible spectrum is required to truly produce all colors. There are many different sets of primary colors that correspond to a color system. For example, these are common sets of primary colors:
Red, Yellow, Blue
Red, Green, Blue
Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black
These are all arbitrary selections by systems that seek to simulate colors and aren't some foundational property of light or human perception. As such, it is odd that primary colors are taught in some education systems as opposed to spectral colors or at least the colors of the rainbow.
