Strategies fail either because you can't deliver them or because you do deliver them but they don't bring the benefits you expected. Small businesses may lack the resources to achieve their objectives requiring best efforts that may not achieve everything planned. Large firms also may find it difficult to deliver strategies due to organizational and change management issues such as resistance to change. When strategies are delivered they may fail on the market due to competition, customer preferences and other factors. The following are common types of strategy failure.
