Science is the discovery of knowledge with methodical experiment and observation. Where science is often equated with certainty by popular media, the point of science is that it doesn't ever place knowledge on a pedestal where it can't be challenged with new evidence. As such, within science a careful differentiation is made between scientific consensus, theories, evidence, findings, hypotheses and observations. The following vocabulary can be used to describe science.
Academic | Analysis | Anecdotal Evidence | Assumptions | Authoritative | Body of Knowledge | Case Report | Clinical Trial | Cohort-Study | Confirmed | Constraints | Controlled | Data | Design Flaws | Empirical Evidence | Estimates | Evidence | Evidence-based | Examination | Experiment | Expert Opinion | Explanation | Falsifiability | Findings | Hard Science | Human Error | Hypothesis | Indication | Information | Inquiry | Investigation | Knowledge | Measurement | Methodology | Natural Experiment | Observation | Observational Study | Primary Source | Proof | Publication | Qualitative | Quality of Evidence | Quality of Research | Quantitative | Randomised | Record | Replicability | Reproducibility | Research | Rigorous | Scholarship | Scientific Consensus | Scientific Evidence | Scientific Law | Scientific Method | Scrutiny | Soft Science | Statistical Analysis | Statistical Significance | Study | Systematic Review | Testing | Theory | Trial | Unknown | Validated | Verified | Well-Accepted |
