What is a Market Price?

Market price is a price determined by supply and demand. The effect of a market price depends on the degree to which a particular good or service is commoditized. Pure commodities such as materials and many agricultural products are typically sold at a market price. Strongly differentiated products such as luxury goods aren't as strongly effected by market prices.
