What are Farm Robots?

 , updated on
Farm robots are autonomous machines that automate farm work such as planting, harvesting, pruning, weeding and pest control. While traditional farm machinery tends to be expensive, large and energy intensive, farm robots are potentially inexpensive, small and solar powered. They may be able to replace chemicals in areas such as weed and pest control. For example, a small solar powered robot could collect weeds and convert it to biochar to enrich soil.
