Six Degrees of Freedom
The movement of a rigid body such as a ship in 3D space can be described using six degrees of freedom: forward & back, up & down, left & right, pitch, yaw and roll.Robots
Robots are often described in terms of their degrees of freedom of their arms, legs, neck and other parts such as back. The number of degrees of freedom is calculated by adding the number of degrees of freedom in each joint. For example, a humanoid robot might have more than 30 degrees of freedom.Overview: Degrees Of Freedom | ||
