Beige is a light brown that is creamy and very slightly yellow. Beige was originally a French word to describe natural unbleached wool and slowly became more of a color name beginning around 1855. As a color, beige is natural, neutral and often accused of being boring as it is commonly selected for minimalist or organic-looking fashions and interiors. The following things are often or characteristically beige.
