Politeness is the demonstration of respect for others. This can include actions that show your concern for the feelings and sensibilities of others. Politeness also includes conformance to rules of politeness such as norms and etiquette that emerge in a culture to help people to get along in a civil way. The opposite of polite behavior is to disregard the feelings and needs of others or to violate norms in some hurtful way. The most direct antonym of polite is impolite. However, according to the situation the following words can also be used.
