What is Sales Force Automation?
John Spacey, updated on December 09, 2016
Sales force automation is a type of management tool for core sales processes such as prospecting, opportunity management, call management, account management and territory management. Such processes are rarely fully automated by the tool. Instead sales force automation typically orchestrates the sales process, manages sales data and often provides analytics and reporting. In many cases, sales force automation is a component of a customer relationship management platform that includes other functions such as marketing and customer service.
