Visual design is the creation of things that have aesthetic and commercial value. This is mostly associated with flat two dimensional things such as a logo or page in a magazine. However, multidimensional things such as interiors and architecture can also be considered visual design. The following are common examples of visual design.

Graphic DesignGraphic design is a broad term for the design of mostly 2-dimensional visual images, environments, layouts and information. This was traditionally associated with printed publications but now includes digital publications that aren't interactive such as eBooks.Environmental DesignEnvironmental design is traditionally the planning of physical spaces. This overlaps with visual design where these spaces are viewed as having visual qualities.
