A network is a series of interconnected computing devices. Interconnections may use a physical connection such as a fiber optic cable or a wireless connection such as WiFi.Networks can be as small as two devices. For example, a home network might include a computer, a few mobile devices, a printer, a television and a data storage device. A single device can be a member of multiple networks. Large networks such as the internet are constructed by interconnecting many networks.
PurposeNetworks are constructed to provide services and exchange information. For example, a mobile app may offer weather information by connecting to a network to fetch the latest forecast.|
