Data complexity is the size and intricacy of data. This has several basic dimensions:The volume of the data. Generally speaking, large data is more complex than small data.
StructureThe structure of data such as relationships between elements. Data that is entangled with a large number of relationships is generally more complex than data that has a simple structure. The heterogeneity of data. Data with diverse structure and values is generally more complex than data with a single structure and repetitive values.Data that is abstracted is generally more complex than data that isn't. For example, a great novel that is filled with abstractions such as "war" and "peace" is more complex than a file of equivalent length filled with raw data such as temperature readings from a sensor.|
