What is the Space Environment?

The space environment are the conditions in space such as space weather, radiation, temperatures, gravity, geomagnetic fields, plasmas, space junk, stars, planets, moons, meteoroids, comets and the upper atmosphere of the Earth beyond the Karman line. The space environment is typically studied in order to design and operate spacecraft. It also has impact on Earth's environment. For example, Coronal Mass Ejections more commonly known as solar storms disrupt the Earth's magnetic field. Such events can cause large scale power outages on Earth.
