What is Experience Design?
John Spacey, updated on July 12, 2023
Experience design is the practice of designing products, services, media, information and interactions for humans. This is a broad field that takes into account ideas, emotions, culture, language, aesthetics and anything else that influences user, visitor or customer experience. Experiences can be designed to persuade, stimulate, entertain or inform. In many cases, experience design aims to produce a highly specific result such as making the operation of a machine safer or selling a product to a particular group of customers.
