Application data is information that is specific to a user. The term applies to any data created and managed by an application. The following are common examples of application data.
ProfileInformation about the user such as a name, account number or user id.User DataInformation generated or owned by the user such as writing, communications, media and business data.PreferencesApplication preferences and configuration settings. For example, a list of cities that a user follows in a weather app.StateThe current state of the application such as the particular web pages a user currently has open in a web browser.
Logs and history information that record what the user has done with the application.Data that is stored temporarily to improve the performance of the application. For example, images and html that are stored by a web browser so that they don't need to be repeatedly downloaded.|
