The humor close is a call to action that is phrased in a a humorous, half-joking way. The call to action is typically an attempt to close a sale or negotiate a price.

Humor helps the customer feel at ease and allows you to be direct without being perceived as abrasive.

Risks

Being perceived as insincere, sarcastic, insulting or unprofessional leading to a breakdown in the conversation and difficulty closing. Business humor is a skill that can be difficult to master. If you're not sure that humor will work it's safer to leave it out. A relaxed, friendly and positive demeanor is often enough to close a sale.
