Presales is a term for sales processes and transactions that occur before a product, service or asset is released to the general market. The term is commonly defined to have several separate meanings:- The process of developing a sales pipeline by generating and qualifying leads.
- An operational team that supports the sales team throughout the sales cycle. Also known as sales operations.
- A limited sale that occurs before a product or service is released on the market for the purposes of product development and testing.
- Sale of an asset such as real estate before it is completely constructed.
