Differences
Business development and sales development have almost nothing in common. However, it is common to refer to sales development using the term "business development." This is unfortunate as it leads to significant confusion. At the corporate level, business development is about acquiring companies, developing products, innovating and investing in strategic initiatives. At the sales level, business development is the low level process of developing and qualifying leads for sales teams.Business Development vs Sales Development | ||
