Business rules are a way to represent business processes, policies and procedures as a series of conditional statements that may be represented as text or a decision tree. These are commonly used to train employees, support decision making and automate business processes. Business rules are unambiguous bright line rules that resolve to true or false. These should not be confused with guidelines or policies that may leave room for interpretation.
