Capability management is the process of directing and controlling a business as a set of capabilities that can be identified, implemented, measured and improved. CapabilitiesBusiness capabilities describe what a business does. In many cases, capabilities form a hierarchy with two or three levels of detail that typically correspond to the structure of an organization.ExampleA fast moving consumer goods company manages business capabilities such as manufacturing, product development, promotion, sales, distribution and supply chain.
